Kenji Itou is a renowned Japanese video game composer and musician who goes by the nickname Itoken (イトケン). He's most famous for his work on the Mana and SaGa series, although he's composed or arranged music for over 30 games throughout his career. Additionally, he has worked on more than 15 albums, concerts, and plays. As a child, Kenji learned to play several instruments, and after graduating from college, he joined Square as a composer in 1990 at the recommendation of one of his professors. He stayed with the company for over a decade before leaving to become a freelance composer in 2001. Despite this change, Kenji has continued to collaborate with Square.
