Hiroshi Manabe was an artist, illustrator, and animator who worked on designing manga collections, books, magazines, and writing while also being a writer. In 1960, he co-founded the Three-Person Animation Circle and was one of the pioneers in conducting experiments with intermedia across animation, music, theater, and performance.
