Ryouhei Yanagihara was a multitalented individual who worked as a designer, illustrator, and animator. He gained recognition for his commercial work, particularly his contributions to marketing characters such as "Uncle Torys." In addition to his commercial endeavors, Yanagihara co-founded the Three-Person Animation Circle and expanded his creative horizons in experimental animation. On August 17, 2015, Yanagihara passed away in a Yokohama hospital due to respiratory failure at the age of 84.
