Takako Shimura
Takako Shimura is a renowned manga artist, hailing from Kanagawa but currently residing in Tokyo. She gained recognition for her works that primarily focus on LGBT themes, particularly those involving lesbians and transgender individuals. Her series Aoi Hana was later adapted into an anime television series which aired in 2009. Wandering Son, another one of her creations, has been licensed for English release by Fantagraphics Books and its anime adaptation concluded broadcasting in 2011.
