Nothings Carved in Stone is a Japanese rock band that has gained popularity as the leading proficient rock group. The band was formed by Shinichi Ubukata, who had previously played with ELLEGARDEN and Hidekazu Hinata from STRAIGHTENER after ELLEGARDEN went on hiatus in September 2008. Takanori Ohkita joined the band through an introduction by Hidekazu and they started sessions without a vocalist. Shinichi Ubukata was interested in Taku Muramatsu of ABSTRACTMASH, whom he met through MySpace, and went to see his live performance with Takanori Ohkita. They were mesmerized by Takus performance and decided to collaborate on their debut album "PARALLEL LIVES," which was released in 2009. The band's lineup includes Taku Muramatsu (vocals, guitar), Shinichi Ubukata (bass), Hidekazu Hinata (drums), and Takanori Ohkita (guitar).
