Hideaki Sena  

Hideaki Sena, whose real name is Suzuki, is a Japanese pharmacologist and novelist who studied at Tohoku University. His debut novel, Parasite Eve, won him recognition and was later adapted into a film and video game by Square. He has also written Brain Valley, which earned him the Nihon SF Taisho Award, and Tomorrows Robots. Currently residing in Sendai, Japan, Dr. Sena teaches microbiology and genre fiction while using the pen name Hideaki Sena.
