In the 1920s, there was significant change and turmoil in America as terrifying demons emerged. To combat this threat, a religious organization called the Order of Magdalene was founded. The New York branch houses Sister Rosette Christopher and her partner Chrno, who are highly skilled at eliminating demonic threats despite causing considerable damage during their missions. Despite being driven by their pasts, Rosette seeks to locate her missing brother Joshua, taken by Aion, a sinner and demon with whom Chrno also has a bloody history. Together, they must confront the growing danger of demons while searching for answers about Joshua's disappearance.
