In 2008, an animation studio called Gainax launched a website for the release of their movie adaptation based on the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann TV series. Both the original director and script editor will be involved in this new project. Additionally, Gainax is hosting four events at the Tokyo International Anime Fair to commemorate this occasion, including appearances from voice actors from the anime.
