An extension of the summer-arc in the Air TV-series, showing more of what happened during Kannas, Ryuyas and Urahas journey to find Kannas mother.
Air in Summer was released on DVD by Pony Canyon in Japan on October 5, 2005. The company later released a Blu-ray disc box that bundled the special episodes on December 22, 2006. ADV Films published the special episodes on DVD in North America on November 27, 2007. Funimation included Air in Summer in the Air Complete Series DVD collection, which was released on April 21, 2009.
