Despite facing numerous difficulties throughout her life, including losing her mother as a child, Chise Hatori found herself at an auction where she was eventually purchased and freed by Elias Ainsworth. Although her current situation is pleasant, the arrival of "The Lonely Little Star" picture book stirs up memories of past struggles and loneliness. As a young girl, Chise experienced great tragedy when her mother passed away, causing her to feel isolated and unwanted by those around her. However, she discovered a library in the forest that offered temporary comfort through reading books and interacting with the kind-hearted librarian. But could this seemingly benevolent library hide a darker secret?
