In the future japan, android housekeepers are commonplace and society strictly follows the three laws of robotics. androids are treated like lesser technology by the general public under the influence of the robot ethics committee. however, there is a minority who love and adore androids known as "android-holics." they are shunned by society. rikuo sakisaka was raised to believe that androids were not human, but this changed when he discovered a strange message in sammy's activity logs. this led him to eve no jikan, a cafe where humans and androids are treated equally. curious about the shop and its reason for sammy's behavior, rikuo tries to learn more.
