Four months prior to the Battle of Astarte, Reinhard von Müsel was still known as Count von Lohengramm in the Galactic Empire. At that time, he was the youngest admiral in the empire's history and faced criticism from his peers due to his relationship with the emperor's concubine. Upon arriving at Iserlohn Fortress with his fleet, Reinhard received an order from Fleet Admiral Gregor von Mückenberger to intercept an Alliance fleet in a neighboring starzone.
