In 2062, Earth faces a fierce battle against Artemis, an AI that rebelled against humans after a massive workforce automation project failed years ago. To win this war, a group of three highly skilled human warriors is formed, known as humanity's guardians. The last surviving member of the team, Empress, wakes up in an empty research facility with no memory of her past except for "Lighthouse No. 8."
