In the northern part of the globe lies Hells Gate, a portal that was previously utilized by the Demon Lord for an invasion of the human realm. Thanks to the bravery and skill of Shion Bladearts, wielder of Excalibur, and his loyal companions, the gate was sealed off and the demonic threat was eliminated. However, despite the hero's best efforts, the seal has begun to weaken, allowing demons to resume their attack on humanity. To protect her village from the renewed danger, Touka Scott digs pitfalls in an attempt to defend against the demons. Despite his selfish and perverted nature, Shion is determined to reseal Hells Gate once again and save mankind. Unfortunately, he falls into one of Toukas traps and dies. Fortunately for humanity, Anri Haynesworth, a skilled necromancer, specializes in dealing with the dead. She cannot bring Shion back to life, but she can salvage their quest by transferring his soul into her own body and taking him along to Hells Gate as her replacement. Yuna Yunis, Toukas childhood friend, joins them on this unconventional journey to save the world.
