In the manga series Yuusha ga Shinda!, the protagonist is Touka, a farmer from Cheza village who shares his childhood friend Yuna Yunis. Despite having a thigh fetish and enjoying putting kneesocks on vegetables he harvests to satisfy his fantasies, Toukas life takes an unexpected turn when a demon attacks his village. In response, Touka digs a pitfall trap with bacon as bait to kill the demon and protect his home. However, the demon is repelled by bacon, causing it to continue destroying the village until the Hero arrives and defeats it. Tragically, the hungry Hero falls into the pitfall trap set by Touka and meets a grisly end. To avoid blame for the Heros death, Touka convinces the villagers to bury him in secret and pretend he is missing. However, things take an unexpected turn when Touka wakes up the next morning in the Heroes body. A necromancer has transferred his consciousness into the dead body of the Hero, capturing Toukas original body. Unfortunately for Touka, this does not stop the decay of the Heros body, and he ends up walking around as a skeleton.
