Mao  

Cat, 猫, 𝐌𝐀𝐎

In the Taisho period, Nanoka enters a portal and is saved from danger by Mao, who is initially hesitant. After returning to the present, she discovers new abilities. Later, she goes back in time to seek answers but becomes entangled in Maos investigation of grisly murders. As her inquiries about herself increase, she learns that Mao is cursed by a demon named Byoki, as well as his sword. However, when Maos life is at risk, Nanoka takes up his blade and fights.
