Loid Forger, a skilled spy, receives a warning from his supervisor about the possibility of being reassigned from Operation Strix. To maintain his position, he must make substantial progress in achieving the mission objectives. One of these objectives involves Anya earning enough Stella Stars to become an Imperial Scholar at Eden Academy. Learning about a cooking contest where the winner receives a Stella Star, Loid decides to help increase Anya's chances by researching the judges' favorite dessert. However, recreating their favorite meremere requires more than just following a recipe. As a result, the Forgers go on vacation to Frigis to try authentic meremere. Unfortunately, their trip takes a dark turn when they become involved in a plot to reignite war between Ostania and Westalis.
