In essence, Carrera is a demon who specializes in forging agreements with humans that involve granting wishes in exchange for their souls. Alongside her colleagues Mercedes and Rati, she performs this task as part of the larger demon community's interests. When summoned by Ogawa, a nerdy individual, Carrera finds him to be more captivating than previous clients, leading her to develop romantic feelings towards him. In response, Mercedes attempts to establish a connection with Ogawa in order to compete with Carrera. However, the female angels are displeased with this interference and threaten to purify the demons using their sacred "holy water" to protect Ogawa's soul from harm.
