In a small village, there lived an elderly sword instructor named Beryl Gardinant. In his youth, he aspired to become a renowned swordsman but those days have passed. One day, without warning, he receives a visit from one of his former students who informs him that he has been appointed as the special instructor for the knights of the Liberion Order. Overwhelmed by this news, Beryl travels to the capital where he reunites with some of his former students including elite knights, a skilled wizard, and an adventurer who has achieved the highest guild rank possible. However, Beryl is perplexed as to why they all require his guidance when he believes they no longer need him. Can Beryl fulfill his new role and will he ever find tranquility away from his devoted students?
