Candy returns home after a while, where she encounters a young girl who has recently lost both of her parents. Despite not being able to relate to the other children, Candy decides to lift the girl's spirits by sharing with her some details about her life. She recounts her journey from when she was discovered by Miss Pony and sister Lane all the way up until her decision to leave boarding school in England and pursue her own path.
