The narrative revolves around a young girl named Ranze who faces challenges due to her family's unique circumstances. Her father is a vampire while her mother is a werewolf. Despite not yet exhibiting her own supernatural abilities, concerns are starting to arise among her parents that she may turn out to be ordinary. This sets the stage for a captivating romantic comedy tale.

Since the television series ended years before the manga, the writers were free to write an original ending for the anime.
