The Yorozuya gang, consisting of Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Kagura, returns to the scene as a fun-loving but broke team in an alternate reality Edo where swords are prohibited and aliens have conquered Japan. Despite not being paid yet, Shinpachi and Kagura continue their struggle. Is it true that Gintoki spends all his money on pachinko? Meanwhile, when Gintoki staggers home drunk one night, an alien spaceship crashes nearby. A fatally injured crew member emerges from the ship and gives Gintoki a clock-shaped device, warning him of its incredible power and urging him to safeguard it. Unfortunately, Gintoki mistakes it for his alarm clock and smashes it the next morning. The world outside his apartment comes to a standstill, and with Kagura and Shinpachi by his side, he sets out to fix the device. However, as usual, things don't go as smoothly for the Yorozuya team in Gintamas fourth season, which is filled with humorous misadventures and dangerous crises.
