A 22-year-old college dropout named Tatsuhiro Satou has been living as a hikikomori for almost four years. During his time in isolation, he has developed many unusual beliefs, but one theory stands out to him the most: that the person responsible for his NEET status is part of an evil and secret organization called NHK-the Nihon Hikikomori Kyokai. The movie "NHK ni Youkoso!" follows Tatsuhiro as he tries to break free from the NHK's sinister plans and overcome his own self-imposed isolation, while also searching for a job outside of his apartment. However, an unexpected encounter with Misaki Nakahara could signal a change in fortune for Tatsuhiro, but it comes at a cost-he must confront his greatest fear: society.
