In Beast Wars Second, there is a new set of characters that appear many years later. These characters journey to Earth, now known as Gaia, after being sent by the Cybertrons, led by Lio Convoy. Their mission is to investigate an unusual change in the planet's behavior and prevent the Destrons, led by Galvatron, from consuming its rich source of energy called Angolmois.
