In contrast to other "Once Upon a Time" series, which typically focus on educational content, "Space" centers around dramatic events. Despite this, there are still some educational elements present, such as an episode discussing the rings of Saturn. "Space" builds upon the characters and storyline of its predecessor, "Man," while also incorporating science-fiction themes. The narrative follows the conflict between various powerful galactic entities, including the Omega Confederation (of which Earth is a member), the military republic of Cassiopée led by General Le Teigneux, and a controlling supercomputer that commands an army of robots. The main characters in "Space" are Pierrot, son of Colonel Pierre and President Pierrette, and his friend Psi.
