In the ongoing tournament, Ryouma Echizen from the Seishun Academy Boys' Tennis Team is facing off against Shitenhouji Middle School, who finished as semifinalists last year. As champions of the Kansai Regionals, Shitenhouji is one of the top contenders in this year's tournament. Each member of their team is said to have skills that surpass those of their Seishun counterparts. Additionally, Shitenhouji has Kintarou Tooyama, another "super rookie" who rivals Ryouma in strength and technique. For Seishun to have any chance of defeating Shitenhouji in this East versus West matchup, they will need to push themselves to their limits.
