Nozomu Itoshiki, also known as Zetsubou-sensei, is an extremely negative person who teaches his class 2-F about life's despair and darkness. Despite having students with unique personalities such as the most positive girl he has ever met, a stalker, a foreign exchange student with split personalities, and a perfectionist acting class president (who is actually invisible), Zetsubou-sensei faces challenges in teaching his class due to their individual quirks.
