Ryuuji Takasu and Taiga Aisaka are two contrasting high school students. While Ryuuji has a gentle nature and is often labeled as a delinquent due to his intimidating appearance, Taiga is known for her feisty personality and wooden katana. One day, the two cross paths after an embarrassing mistake. It turns out that Taiga has a crush on Yuusaku Kitamura, Ryuuji's best friend and popular vice president. However, Ryuuji reveals that he has a crush on Minori Kushieda, Taiga's best friend. Toradora! is a romantic comedy that follows this unlikely duo as they embark on a quest to help each other with their respective crushes, forming an alliance in the process.
Toradora! was selected as a recommended work by the awards jury of the 13th Japan Media Arts Festival in 2009.The light novel was also adapted into video games for PlayStation Portable, published by Namco Bandai Games in 2009.
