In the early 2000s, Tanaka gained recognition as a talented action director at Toei Productions through his innovative fight sequences in PreCure Max Heart and Splash Star. He later expanded his skills by working on projects outside of Toei, demonstrating that his abilities go beyond just fights. One of his notable strengths is his ability to create dynamic running sequences with a touch of elegance, as well as his meticulous attention to detail when it comes to hair styling.
