Ayumu Aikawa is a 16-year-old high school student who mysteriously dies while investigating a suspicious house. However, he wakes up next to Eucliwood Hellscythe, an armored girl with magical abilities who reveals that she has revived him as a zombie. Now immortal, Ayumu embarks on a mission to hunt down his killer and protect the human population from monsters called "Megalo." Along the way, he meets Haruna, a young girl fighting a bear with a chainsaw while dressed as a magical girl. After she kills the beast, Haruna tries to erase Ayumu's memories of her but instead absorbs her magic for himself. Stripped of her powers, Haruna orders Ayumu to hunt Megalo on her behalf. The series follows Ayumu's daily life as he navigates this new world where the supernatural is commonplace.
After the conclusion of the anime, a drama CD was released which featured seven cast members reprising their roles.
