In a world where airplanes and airships abound, there is a young girl named Sheeta who has been kidnapped by government agents in pursuit of her enigmatic crystal amulet. Trapped aboard an airship, she feels hopeless until the ship is attacked by pirates during a raid. Seizing the opportunity, Sheeta escapes and meets Pazu, a boy with dreams of reaching Laputa, the legendary flying castle in the sky. The two embark on a journey together to discover this celestial wonder. However, their quest is fraught with danger as government agents also seek Laputa for their own selfish desires. Tenkuu no Shiro Laputa chronicles the thrilling escapades of Sheeta and Pazu while they learn about the power of dreams and how adversity can strengthen their bond.
