The students in Kimi to Boku view their high school years as uninteresting. They spend most of their time attending classes, getting into arguments, and preparing for future careers that seem far away. However, having a good set of friends can make these days more enjoyable. Four childhood friends attend the same school together every day: Yuuki and Yuuta Asaba, Shun Matsuoka, and Kaname Tsukahara. Although they have grown accustomed to their monotonous routine, Chizuru Tachibana's arrival as a new transfer student could bring some excitement to the group. With his lively personality and tales from another country, Chizuru may help brighten up the dull atmosphere of the group.
