In 1972, Misaki, a well-liked student in Yomiyama North Middle School's class 3-3, passed away during the school year. Since then, the town has been engulfed by an eerie atmosphere, as if it is hiding dark secrets deep within its core. Twenty-six years later, Kouichi Sakakibara transfers into class 3-3 of Yomiyama North and notices a gloomy mood hanging over all the students. He also becomes fascinated with Mei Misaki, an enigmatic student who wears an eyepatch, despite her being treated like she doesn't exist by the rest of the class and teachers. Disregarding warnings from everyone, including Mei herself, Kouichi gets closer to both her and the truth behind the gruesome events plaguing his new school. As they delve deeper into the mystery surrounding a series of inevitable, tragic events, they may just pay the ultimate price for unraveling the horror of Yomiyama.
