The story revolves around individuals known as "Kings," who possess extraordinary abilities and are responsible for safeguarding their clan members. A video showing the brutal murder of a Red Clansman goes viral, leading to the accusation of homicide against an unassuming student named Yashiro Isana. As a result, a manhunt is launched to capture him, bringing him into contact with Kurou Yatogami, a skilled swordsman and martial artist who follows the wishes of his late master, the Seventh King. Meanwhile, the current Red King, Mikoto Suou, faces imminent death as the search for Yashiro intensifies. However, as Yashiro strives to clear his name, a greater conspiracy unfolds, with doubts emerging about his existence and memories becoming clouded.
