The term "Mushi" refers to creatures that are perceived as strange and feared by humans. It is important to understand these beings before exploiting them, as it can lead to disastrous consequences for all involved. Mushishi Zoku Shou continues the story of Mushishi Ginko on his journey to help coexist with the Mushi in the visible world. During his travels, Ginko encounters gifted individuals who are cursed by circumstance or have a symbiotic relationship with the Mushi. These individuals often grapple with questions about whether humanity can handle the responsibility of dealing with the unseen.
