What happened in Japan's past is irrelevant to me, so why should I care? This is what high school student Saburou believes when he suddenly finds himself transported back in time to the Sengoku Era and standing face-to-face with legendary general Nobunaga Oda. Despite being disoriented by his new surroundings, Nobunaga quickly realizes that Saburou resembles him closely and begs him to take his place as they both flee from Nobunagas retainers. Now thrust into an unfamiliar world and tasked with impersonating someone he barely knows, Saburou must use his modern knowledge and experiences to navigate this unexpected quest to unite all of Japan.
Nobunaga Concerto was nominated for Banff World Media Festivals Rockie Award in the animation category in 2015.
