In the aftermath of an unknown virus that kills everyone over 13 years old, humanity finds itself under the control of previously hidden vampires who seek to dominate society through blood donations in exchange for protection. Among those surviving are two young boys, Yuuichirou and Mikaela Hyakuya, along with other children they consider family. Dissatisfied with their treatment as livestock by the cruel rulers, Mikaela devises a rebellious escape plan that ultimately fails, leaving only Yuuichirou alive. Later, Yuuichirou joins the Moon Demon Company, a military unit dedicated to eliminating vampires in Japan. Years later, now part of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, Yuuichirou seeks revenge against those who destroyed his family, but at what cost? Owari no Seraph is an anime series that follows a young man's journey for retribution while battling for friendship and loyalty amid seemingly insurmountable odds.

Owari no Seraph is an anime adaptation of Takaya Kagamis ongoing shounen manga of the same name. Kagami himself did script writing for the anime involving events that were not yet published in the source material. The anime is licensed by Funimation for both video and streaming in North America. The source material has also spawned several other adaptations including two different light novel series, a voice comic, two video games and a spin-off manga.
