Yuu Otosaka is a teenager with an extraordinary ability to control other people's bodies for five seconds at a time. He has been using this skill to get good grades and enter a prestigious high school. However, when Nao Tomori discovers his secret, she forces him and his sister Ayumi to transfer to Hoshinoumi Academy, a school for students with supernatural abilities. The student council, led by Nao, tracks down adolescents who abuse their powers, including Yuu. He is forced to join the student council and face challenges that bring him closer to the truth about his own ability's power. Jun Maeda, creator of Angel Beats and Clannad, wrote an original story exploring the supernatural lives of these teenagers and the price they pay for being special.
