Ghost in the Shell: Arise is an anime adaptation of four movies combined into eight episodes. While the first half focuses on the Fire Starter virus from previous installations, the second half features a new arc called "Pyrophoric Cult." This episode introduces Pyromania as a central character and ties into the upcoming film.
