Hotaru Tachibana possesses a strong sense of justice and feels compelled to confront those who engage in malicious acts. Despite being a girl, she enjoys disguising herself as a boy. After hearing rumors that her best friend was deceived by the host of a local club, Hotaru seeks revenge against the wrongdoer. Upon arriving at the club, however, she is challenged to a "survival game" by Masamune Matsuoka, where the first person hit by a toy gun's bullet will lose. After a destructive fight that results in her defeat, Masamune forces Hotaru to join his survival game team named Toy Gun Gun in order to repay the damages she has caused inside the club. Although initially unhappy with this turn of events, Hotaru quickly becomes interested in what survival games have to offer and is determined to pay off her debt. However, there are two obstacles: firstly, she is terrible at the game, and secondly, Toy Gun Gun does not allow female members on their team. Despite these challenges, Hotaru hopes to contribute to realizing the dream of winning the Top Combat Game (TCG), a tournament that decides the best survival game team in Japan.
