In N-City, many people play Magical Girl Raising Project as their closest experience to being real magical girls. However, some rare players can make this dream come true. One such player is Koyuki Himekawa, who receives a notification that she has been chosen to become Snow White. As Koyuki and other selected players help those in need, they receive another notification: the admins want to reduce the number of magical girls by eliminating the least amount of Magical Candies earned each week. The first player who drops out due to real-world tragedy is shown the consequences of losing their powers. As more participants lose the competition and new rules are added, the girls realize that their "contest" is a fight for survival.
