Chika Takami was an ordinary girl who had never been involved in any clubs or possessed any remarkable talents. However, after visiting Tokyo, she discovered a stage where even someone like her could shine-the world of school idols. Inspired by the former superstar group μs, Chika decided to start her own school idol club at Uranohoshi Girls High School in her hometown. Despite not having any members yet, Chika's greatest challenge was student council president Dia Kurosawa who strongly opposed the creation of the club. Just when it seemed like there was no hope, Chika met Riko Sakurauchi, a transfer student from Otonokizaka High School and a talented piano player. Although convincing her to join was difficult, Chika persisted and overcame obstacles to form a school idol group that shone as brightly as the nine that came before it.
