In 1889, technology was advancing rapidly. people were looking forward to what the future held. however, there was a dark force at work - gargoyle, who was determined to restore the former glory of atlantis and take over the world. nadia, with the help of jean roque lartigue and captain nemo on the nautilus, had to fight against gargoyle and neo-atlantis to save the world. this story is based on jules verne's novel 20,000 leagues under the sea.
The series won the 1990 Animage's Anime Grand Prix Award.
