Batsugoro was the proprietor of Yaobatsu, a grocery store. One day, while attempting to retrieve a balloon caught on a branch for a young child, he tragically fell and passed away. His son Ataro inherited the business but was concerned about his ability to manage it alone. Despite this, Batsugoro remained as a ghostly presence in the shop. Eventually, Dekoppachi joined forces with Ataro to help him run the store successfully. The story takes an emotional turn when we are introduced to characters such as Nyarome and Butamatsu, adding warmth and depth to the narrative.
