Fourteen years have passed since kibagami jubei defeated himuro genma and thwarted the evil plans of the shogun of the darks. since then, he has been wandering japan as a masterless swordsman. during his travels, he encounters shigure, a priestess who has never seen the world beyond her village. however, when demons destroy the village and kill everyone, jubei becomes a prime target after acquiring the dragon jewel-a mysterious stone with an unknown origin. meanwhile, shigure, along with monk dakuan and young thief tsubute, travels to yagyu's village. with two demon clans now hunting down shigure, dakuan must once again call upon jubei to protect the priestess of light.
