Ayu Tateishi is a second-year student at her middle school known for being calm, cool, and collected. Her image was carefully crafted to impress her crush, Tetsushi Kaji. Apart from studying, playing tennis, and speaking with Tetsushi, Ayum focused on nothing else until she found a mini-computer under a bench. She returned it to Nina Sakura, who thanked her and chose her as a confidante for her secret. Later, when the schools two tennis teams had an argument about court usage, Ayu was forced to settle it by playing against Hiroki Tsujiai, captain of the boys team and Tetsushis best friend. Despite being nervous about losing and embarrassing herself, Ayu was approached by Nina, who revealed she was a witch from the Magic Kingdoms middle school. Wanting to help Ayum win, Nina imbued a piece of chocolate with a spell that might come in handy during the match.
