Otonokizaka High School has been saved from closure thanks to the popularity generated by μs' participation in Love Live! Despite having to withdraw, the school was able to gain enough interest to prevent its shutdown. Following the conclusion of the first season, a second Love Live! is announced on an even larger stage than before. With their chance for redemption, the nine girls come together once more to sing and claim victory. However, with graduation approaching, the third years must decide what path μs will take. The question of whether to continue without them or disband hangs heavily on the minds of its members as they quickly need to make a decision with graduation just around the corner. Love Live! School Idol Project 2nd Season continues the story of the girls as they laugh, cry, sing, and dance in their quest to determine the future of their group and win the Love Live! for the last time with all nine members together.
The series also has released a mobile rhythm game titled Love Live! School Idol Festival for iOS and Android, released in 2013 for Japan and in 2014 for English users.
