The narrative revolves around two mountain climbing partners, Saruwatari Gorou and "Lostman" Jack F. Woodbridge, who scale Mt. Everest together. Following their successful ascent, they catch sight of the ISA Space Station in space and both pledge to embark on a journey into outerspace. After NASA discovers Helium 3 as a new energy source on the moon, it launches the "Nexus" project with the goal of utilizing this resource for Earth's benefit. This story follows their individual journeys towards realizing their shared dream of harnessing the next-generation energy source.
