Hakuya Mitsumine wins first prize in a lucky draw and receives tickets for a trip to a hot spring of his choice. His sister, Mashiro, wants to visit a specific hot spring in a village with rumors about mysterious creatures. Supportive of her choice, Hakuya takes Mashiro and some friends to the village. While trying to catch sight of the creatures in a dark forest, they encounter multiple strange events that hinder their pursuit. Despite deviating from their original objective, they remain determined to find the creatures or return home unsatisfied with their curiosity.
