On her 16th birthday, Kobeni Yonomori receives an unexpected surprise in the form of a fiancé and sister-in-law she never knew existed. This is due to an arrangement made by her late grandfather, which brought Hakuya Mitsumine and his younger sibling Mashiro from their rural home to the Yonomori household. The anime series Mikakunin de Shinkoukei follows Kobenis love journey with Hakuya as she tries to adapt to the sudden changes in her life. However, as more extraordinary secrets about the siblings are revealed, Kobeni's life will be forever altered.
Mikakunin de Shinkoukei originally premiered on Japans ABC station, and also aired on Tokyo MX, BS11, and AT-X. The series was simulcast on Crunchyroll and several other websites outside of Japan. Sales for a six-volume DVD set of the series began March-August 2014.Although the anime follows the manga closely, the final episode is original to the anime.
